Hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) is a highly saturated elastomer obtained by special hydrogenation of nitrile rubber. Hydrogenated nitrile rubber has good oil resistance (good resistance to fuel oil, lubricating oil, aromatic solvents); and due to its high saturated structure, it has good heat resistance, and excellent chemical resistance (good resistance to chemical corrosion). Freon, acid, and alkali have good resistance), excellent ozone resistance, and high compression set resistance; at the same time, hydrogenated nitrile rubber also has the characteristics of high strength, high tear performance, and excellent wear resistance, etc. It is one of the rubbers with excellent comprehensive performance.
The high-temperature resistance of HNBR is 130～180℃, the cold resistance is -55～-38℃, and the mechanical properties are excellent. Compared with other polymers, HNBR can better meet the requirements of the automobile industry. HNBR reinforced with ZnO/methacrylic acid (MAA) can be used to make V-belts, isometric V-belts, bottom glue for multi-use triangle rings, vibration isolators, etc. In oil drilling, rubber products are required to withstand high temperature, high pressure, acid, amine, H2S, CO2, CH4, and other steam tests. Various products prepared with HNBR are resistant to acid, oil, and solvent.
